The purpose of this book is to give a brief introduction about Vipassana meditation, quintessence of the Buddha’s teaching. It also contains information on life of the Buddha, stories of the people who benefited from the practice of Vipassana meditation, six historical Councils, chain of teachers after the Buddha and spread of Vipassana through pictorial presentation. This information is portrayed through the beautiful pictures from the gallery at the Global Vipassana Pagoda.
